Telehandler Inspections
LOLER thorough examinations for telescopic handlers across construction, agriculture and industry.
LDN Inspection Services provides statutory LOLER thorough examinations for all types of telescopic handlers. Our qualified engineer surveyors inspect fixed-frame, rotating and compact telehandlers and their attachments, delivering clear digital reports with photographic evidence.
Telescopic Handler Inspections
Telehandlers are versatile machines used extensively in construction, agriculture and industry for lifting, placing and moving loads. When used for lifting operations, they fall within the scope of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and require periodic thorough examination by a competent person.
Telehandlers operate in demanding environments where structural fatigue, hydraulic wear, boom damage and overload protection system failures can develop over time. Thorough examination identifies these issues before they lead to dangerous incidents.
Our inspections cover the complete machine including boom sections, hydraulic systems, stabilisers, chassis, safety devices and all lifting attachments. We provide detailed reports with photographs and clear defect categorisation.
Key Requirements
- LOLER thorough examination at least every 12 months
- Every 6 months if used with a man basket to lift persons
- All lifting attachments require individual examination
- Reports must be kept and defects acted upon promptly
- Rated capacity indicator (RCI) must be functioning correctly
